Shipping policy

Do I need to provide an email address for my order?

An email address isn't required to complete your purchase, but we strongly recommend providing one, as it's the best way for us to keep you informed about your order. If you provide an email address, we'll use it to send:

  • Order confirmations
  • Shipping and tracking updates
  • Any important updates regarding your order, including refund or return-to-sender notifications

If an email address isn't provided at checkout, we have no way to notify you of your order status or reach you if an issue arises — including situations like a package being returned to sender (see our return-to-sender policy below). In that case, you won't receive tracking information, and we won't be able to communicate order updates or refund details.

To ensure you stay informed every step of the way, we recommend double-checking that the email entered at checkout is correct and active.

Orders returned to sender?

If a package we ship is returned to sender and arrives back at our fulfillment center, we'll reach out to you via the email address provided at checkout to let you know. This most commonly happens when there's an issue with the delivery address on file.

Unfortunately, once an order is returned to us, we're unable to reship it. Instead, we'll cancel the order and issue a refund for the purchased items. Please note: 

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable in all cases, since we already attempted delivery to the address provided. Once a package is scanned into the carrier's network, that shipping cost has been incurred on our end — even if delivery is ultimately unsuccessful and the package is returned to us.
  • If the address provided at checkout was incorrect or incomplete, and the order received free shipping, a 10% restocking fee will also be deducted from your refund total, since we absorbed the shipping cost as part of the promotion.
  • If you paid for shipping at checkout, no restocking fee applies — you'll be refunded for the purchased items, with only the original shipping fee excluded.
  • If the return was not due to an address error on your part (for example, a carrier or fulfillment issue), no restocking fee will apply — only the standard shipping fee remains non-refundable, as noted above.
  • An email address is required to complete a purchase with us. Without one, we have no way to notify you that your package is being returned, provide tracking updates, or communicate your refund once it's processed.

If you believe the address provided was correct; especially if it's an address you've successfully received packages at before — and you're unsure why the carrier was unable to deliver, please reach out to us at orders@cattleranchco.com. We're happy to look into the situation further to help determine what happened.

Once your refund is processed, please allow 5-7 business days for it to appear back on your original payment method.

To help avoid delivery issues, we always recommend double-checking your shipping address before completing your order.

Does Package Protection cover return-to-sender orders?

Our Package Protection add-on covers packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, as well as returns and exchanges on items you've already received.

It does not cover orders that are returned to sender before ever reaching you — for example, due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address. Since the package was never successfully delivered, this falls outside the scope of returns/exchanges coverage and is instead handled under our standard return-to-sender policy (see above), which may include a restocking fee depending on the circumstances.
